Kangia Icefjord, which has been admitted onto UNESCO's world heritage list, has provided the inspiration for the name of Hotel Icefiord in Ilulissat. The hotel is situated in the centre of the small town, thus enabling guests to follow the activities of dinghies and fishing boats arriving at the harbour with the day's catch. The icebergs also drift slowly by out on the fjord and can be seen from the hotel rooms or from the balcony of the conference hall.

The 3-star conference centre can cater for up to 60 participants in a plenary room, where facilities include a wide-screen projector, screen, whiteboards, simultaneous interpreting system and wireless internet. A wide variety of dishes based on Greenlandic ingredients are served on the lunch and dinner menus. A Greenlandic buffet is also available in June, July and August. As an extra plus, you can enjoy a cold, draught beer in the cosy bar with its view of the ice fjord or accompanied by the sound of the crackling fire in the lobby.

Tours of "Knud Rasmussen's town" and the surrounding area are organised in collaboration with local tour operators – and are available all year round for groups of all sizes. Welcome breaks from the conference on a dogsled or a sailing trip amongst the icebergs under the midnight sun are amongst the many activities that are available in Ilulissat and at Hotel Icefiord.
