If you approach Maniitsoq from the water, the first thing that'll catch your eye is the blue hotel that towers above the harbour. From the restaurant in the 3-star hotel you can enjoy the view of the archipelago, which is populated by whales during the summer months.

The hotel has 21 rooms and is well-suited to small groups, regardless of whether meetings or incentives are on the programme. As is also the case for the hotel itself, course and conference facilities are classified with 3 stars and boast a large conference room with adjacent terrace where coffee can be served should this be required. The conference room can accommodate up to 60 people and is equipped with modern AV equipment. There are also 3 small group meeting rooms. Maniitsoq means "the rugged place" and a tour of the small town will indeed involve plenty of walking up and down steps or mountainsides. A platform has been constructed at the edge of the town from where there are good chances of spotting common minke whales, humpback whales and fin whales. In the area around Maniitsoq you'll also find beautiful glaciers and picturesque fjords that are a great experience whatever the time of year.
