Data is fed directly from Statistics Greenland.
The tourismstat-website was first introduced in September 2013 with an introduction to Visit Greenland's new segmentation model as well as verified tourism data fed directly from Statistics Greenland. The statistics page was made to be highly interactive so that one could choose for himself which data he would like to investigate and through which graph styles he would like to display them.
Visit Greenland has since made adjustments to the website in order to develop and improve its contents and functions. The newest version is live now.
New search function in the Statistics tab
It is now possible to filter data by tourist country of residence. This filter is available for data such as the number of flight passengers, number of overnight guests and number of overnights, to name a few.
New information in the Tourists tab
Richer and more detailed information regarding the theory behind market segmentation and the different market segments has been added. Extended case studies are available for the following segments: Culture Appreciator, Globetrotter, Nature Lover, Nature Appreciator, and Special Interest Adventurer.

Visit Greenland presented the first tourism analysis report in Autumn 2015 with national-level data and findings from the third quarter of 2015.
Now, with the onset of the new tourismstat.gl website comes a release of all new reports in the Analysis tab. One can find both national- and regional-level reports for the entire 2015 year.
